Jim Ratcliffe, billionaire co-owner of Manchester United and founder of Ineos, apologized after using language many found offensive about immigration in the U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the comments "offensive and wrong." Ratcliffe said he was "sorry that my choice of language has offended some people in the U.K. and Europe." The comments came during a Sky News interview in which Ratcliffe discussed the European chemicals industry, politics and the weak U.K. economy. Ratcliffe had said the U.K. had been "colonized" and warned about "9 million people on benefits and huge levels of immigrants coming in."
