"We're delighted to announce that Club captain Alex Greenwood has signed a contract extension to the summer of 2027. - Manchester City Women (@ManCityWomen) November 12, 2025"
Alex Greenwood signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester City, keeping her at the club until the summer of 2027. Greenwood joined Manchester City from Lyon in 2020 and has made 99 WSL appearances for the club, the most by any City player in the top flight, and 152 appearances across all competitions. Greenwood won the FA Cup in her first season and the Women's League Cup in 2021-22. In 2024 she became only the second player in the club's professional history to be appointed captain. She has made six WSL appearances in 2025-26 with one assist as City sit one point clear of Chelsea ahead of a home match with Manchester United.
