Bristol City has confirmed the departure of forward Nahki Wells, who has been with the club for five and a half years. Throughout his tenure, Wells made 237 appearances and scored 48 goals, including 10 in the latest season, helping the team achieve Championship play-off status for the first time since 2008. In a heartfelt farewell, Wells expressed gratitude for the support from fans and his experiences at the club, while chairman Jon Lansdown praised him as a role model and contributor both on and off the pitch.
"We've created so many special memories that will live with me forever. You've taken me in as one of your own and made my family feel at home from the moment I joined the club."
"The moment on the pitch at Ashton Gate finding out we'd made the play-off places is something I will never forget, celebrating something we worked so hard to achieve with the fans who backed us the whole way."
