"I don't know if there was, and I'm not paying that bill," said Yordan Alvarez with a smile, showcasing his characteristic humor after breaking the scoreboard.
"He's impressive to watch take BP, that's for sure, and hit in the game," said Alex Bregman, confirming Alvarez's impressive batting practice performance and repeated hits on the scoreboard.
"Sometimes in BP I try to put intention into some of those swings," Alvarez noted, reflecting on his powerful batting practice and previous incidents with the scoreboard.
This wasn't the first time Alvarez has broken a scoreboard though; during his rookie season, he broke the Astros' own scoreboard with an astronomical hit.
