Martinez was always going to face some market limitations. He's 36 years old and has started one game on defense over the past two seasons.
Angels might be better served rotating through the position to stay healthy. On the other hand, Aaron Hicks is so far the only addition to a lineup that was merely average despite an MVP season from Ohtani.
