Jeffers hit a deep ball that was caught and A-Mar was thrown out trying to tag up, creating two outs. The narrator stepped up determined to hit a homer, connected on a pitch, and sent the ball over the fence for a walk-off. The celebration, adrenaline, and subsequent flight home left the narrator reassured and ready for the following night.
