Tyler Callihan, an infielder/outfielder, is expected to miss the remainder of the season following a second surgery on his left wrist. He suffered a serious injury during his fourth major league game while attempting to catch a fly ball. Initially placed on the injured list with a left forearm fracture, he faced a recovery period of six to eight weeks before further evaluation led to the need for additional surgery. He will remain on the 60-day IL, but will continue to receive big league pay and service time.
