Tommy Edman provided the Dodgers with versatility, having played multiple positions and contributing to a World Series title. A sprained right ankle suffered last season limited him this year and relegated him to second base. At the end of June he began receiving more center-field opportunities before filling in at third base when Max Muncy went on the injured list. After landing on the injured list with a sprained right ankle, the Dodgers adopted a deliberate recovery plan to avoid setbacks that could affect postseason availability. Edman has progressed through straight-line running, light grounders, batting practice and change-of-direction work and plans to resume center field.

However, Max Muncy ended up on the injured list with a bone bruise in his left knee shortly after, and Edman factored prominently in filling the void at third base.
It's felt good with all the steps that I've been doing so far. Taking it slower than last time just to make sure I'm not irritating the issue further. Everything has been good so far.
