The Tigers announced this evening that they've acquired left-hander Blake Dickerson from the Padres in exchange for $500K in international bonus pool money.
Baseball America recently ranked Dickerson as the #22 prospect in the San Diego farm system entering the 2024 campaign, noting that the lefty projects to have a high-velocity fastball and an above-average curveball once his 6-foot-6 frame fills out, giving him a chance to be a #4 starter or future bullpen arm depending on the development of his changeup.
