Former MLB outfielder Ted Savage has passed away, the Cardinals announced.He was 85 years old.Savage was born in Venice, Illinois, across the Mississippi River from St. Louis.He attended school in nearby East St. Louis, Illinois where he was a three-sport star in baseball, football, and basketball.Savage would go on to play baseball for Lincoln University before joining the US Army.
