Stranded at 3rd: Arenado arrives amid trade talk
Briefly

Nolan Arenado of the St. Louis Cardinals reported to spring training amidst offseason trade discussions. Despite being owed $74 million over three years and having a no-trade clause, Arenado's presence has been welcomed by the team. Although he underperformed last season, the Cardinals leadership expressed confidence in his abilities, with President John Mozeliak noting that having Arenado makes the team stronger. Concerning the offseason trade discussions, Arenado mentioned that his family played a key role in his decision to remain with St. Louis.
I'm not going to talk about who the teams were because it doesn't really matter anymore, but so, yeah, there was about five teams, five or so.
We went into this offseason knowing that we were going to try to explore trades, which we did... with Nolan on our team, we feel we're a better team.
