While these agreements are all listed in MLBTR's Arbitration Tracker, unfinished business remains around the league. 22 players have not yet settled on a salary for the 2024 and are therefore at risk of having their salaries determined by an arbiter.
While there's nothing stopping teams and players from settling to avoid arbitration between now and their hearing, the majority of clubs employ a 'file and trial' approach to arbitration hearings, stopping negotiations prior to the formal exchange of figures in order to put additional pressure on players to agree to a deal early.
