Llovera, 28 in April, was just acquired from the Giants in a cash deal in July. He went on to toss 29 2/3 innings over 25 appearances after coming to Boston, with a 5.46 earned run average in that time.
His strong Triple-A results could lead to another club putting in a claim but Llovera is out of options, which will limit his appeal as a depth arm.
