Mark Lowy has been appointed as the new assistant pitching coach for the Phillies, stepping into the role left by Brian Kaplan, who has become the Diamondbacks' pitching coach.
At 32, Lowy is joining an MLB coaching staff for the first time after serving as Philadelphia's lead pitching development analyst during the '24 season.
Lowy's journey with the Phillies began in 2021 in player development, having previously gained experience at an independent training facility, enhancing his coaching credentials.
The Philadelphia Phillies staff, led by pitching coach Caleb Cotham, welcomes Lowy as he joins the duo of Cotham and bullpen coach Cesár Ramos.
