He becomes Mike Elias' third assistant GM alongside Sig Mejdal and Eve Rosenbaum while a separate general manager hire remains uncertain. Matt Blood moves from VP of player development/domestic scouting to VP of player and staff development and will continue to lead minor-league player development while providing executive support to manager Craig Albernaz, the big-league coaching staff, and sports medicine and performance.
