The Orioles announced that veteran infielder/outfielder Matt Kemp has been designated for assignment to make room for top prospect Jackson Holliday, who is officially joining the major league roster.
Kemp joined the Orioles recently after being released by the Reds. Despite his history as a solid contributor, his limited time with Baltimore did not yield positive results, going 0-for-10 at the plate.
