Nolan Arenado Discusses Trade Rumors
Briefly

Nolan Arenado attended spring training with the St. Louis Cardinals amidst trade rumors. Though he acknowledged the offseason speculation, he emphasized his commitment to the team and improving his performance as a player. Currently, there appears to be no active trade negotiations, particularly after the Red Sox made another move that excluded them from the market for Arenado. While he remains open to discussions, both he and president of baseball operations John Mozeliak seem settled on him starting the season with the Cardinals.
I'm back and I'm ready to go play ball. I'm a ballplayer, and I'm a Cardinal, until I'm told I'm not. That's what I'm focused on.
There's currently no momentum towards a deal, and both Arenado and president of baseball operations John Mozeliak seem reasonably comfortable with the idea of the veteran third baseman sticking in St. Louis.
Mozeliak acknowledged throughout the offseason that trading Arenado was his top priority, but his tone has shifted since the Red Sox landed Alex Bregman eliminating a potential deal.
While the door isn't entirely closed on the possibility of Arenado being moved, he's no longer seeking out potential trade partners.
