Starting in 2025, Major League Baseball will take over the distribution of local broadcasts for the Twins, Guardians, and Brewers, previously handled by Diamond Sports Group.
With plans to cut back on the number of teams covered, Diamond Sports Group's decisions resulted in MLB managing broadcasts for at least six clubs, expanding their streaming capabilities.
Fans will benefit from MLB's direct-to-consumer streaming packages, which will eliminate blackout restrictions that were previously in place under regional network deals.
While the Rangers are finding themselves outside the current MLB plans with Diamond expiring, they are actively seeking local broadcast options for the future.
