""It means everything," Muncy told Dodgers Nation "[A] Chance to get back in the World Series, win the World Series, it's the whole reason you play this game. For me, the Dodgers have expressed it so many times, they mean everything to me. I wouldn't still be in baseball if it wasn't for the Dodgers. So to get another year with them - hopefully I can get a more in there - really means a lot to me.""
"Muncy hit five home runs in May while logging 26 RBIs, then finished June with seven home runs and 24 RBIs. His hot streak ended there, though, as he suffered a bone bruise in his knee against the Chicago White Sox on July 2, keeping him out until August, then landed on the injured list for a second time later that month with an oblique strain."
Los Angeles Dodgers picked up Max Muncy's 2026 club option after his 2025 performance. Muncy began heating up at the end of April and hit his first home run on the final day of that month. He hit five home runs in May with 26 RBIs and seven home runs in June with 24 RBIs. He suffered a bone bruise in his knee on July 2, missed time until August, then landed on the injured list again with an oblique strain. Muncy finished 2025 with 19 home runs, 67 RBIs and a .840 OPS, marking an OPS+ above league average for the seventh time in eight years with the Dodgers. He will remain with the Dodgers for at least one more season.
