The Miami Marlins and Minnesota Twins have agreed to a trade that will send infielder/outfielder Nick Gordon to Miami, with left-hander Steven Okert heading to Minnesota in return.
The Marlins and Twins have agreed to a deal that will send infielder/outfielder Nick Gordon to Miami, according to FanSided's Robert Murray.
Gordon was a top prospect for the Twins, but struggled in the upper minors. However, he had a solid 2022 season before being injured, earning him a $900K salary for the 2024 season.
Gordon earned that extra playing time by hitting .272/.316/.427 during the 2022 campaign, and his ability to play multiple positions made him a particularly valuable asset on a Minnesota team that beset by injuries.
