The Marlins are placing first baseman on outright waivers, reports Robert Murray of FanSided. At this point, there's been nothing to suggest Bell has been removed from the roster.
The Marlins are likely just trying to gauge if any club is willing to take on his entire contract. It's possible he stays in Miami if he clears waivers.
