Yariel Rodriguez turned in his third excellent effort in four tries since his return to the rotation, striking out six in 5.2 innings. Despite a balk call and a late tying run, he deserved to be in a winning position.
The Rays saw some defensive errors, including a missed challenge opportunity on a close play at the wall, allowing Toronto to capitalize. However, overall, the game was considered good all around.
