Jackson Chourio Undergoes MRI For Hamstring Injury
"obviously it's real scary having that hamstring injury to the same leg. We're hoping it's something he can come back from soon...It could be devastating."
"We're still waiting [on MRI results]. But physically, I feel good, and I feel I'm in a position where I'm ready to keep going and ready to keep competing,"
The Brewers beat the Cubs 9-3 in Game 1 of the NLDS, scoring all nine runs in the first two innings. Jackson Chourio collected three hits, including an RBI single, but limped after beating out a throw and was replaced by Isaac Collins as a pinch-runner and in left field. Manager Pat Murphy said Chourio was undergoing an MRI and expressed worry because the injury involves the same right hamstring that previously sidelined Chourio for nearly a month with a strain. Chourio described the removal as precautionary and said he felt physically able to continue competing.
