MLB attorney Jim Bromley, present at the court hearing, emphasized their lack of prior knowledge regarding Diamond's intentions, indicating that they were not given an opportunity to assess the situation before being asked to respond.
The Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Rays must now navigate new broadcasting arrangements, whether with Diamond or alternative operators as their contracts are in the air.
