"Finalists for the 2025 National League Silver Slugger Awards were announced by MLB on Wednesday, and the Los Angeles Dodgers were represented by Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Will Smith and Shohei Ohtani."
"Freeman is a finalist at first base, along with Pete Alonso (New York Mets) and Matt Olson (Atlanta Braves). Muncy is one of four finalists at the hot corner, along with Matt Chapman (San Francisco Giants), Manny Machado (San Diego Padres) and Austin Riley (Atlanta Braves)."
"Since the award's inception, the Dodgers have five prior instances in which they had two Silver Slugger winners on the same team (1981, 1988, 1993, 1995, 2009). But in 2024, they had three winners for the first time in the same season."
Freddie Freeman is a finalist at first base alongside Pete Alonso and Matt Olson. Max Muncy is a finalist at third base with Matt Chapman, Manny Machado and Austin Riley. Will Smith is a finalist at catcher with William Contreras and Hunter Goodman. Shohei Ohtani is a finalist at designated hitter with Kyle Schwarber and Christian Yelich. The Dodgers are finalists for the team Silver Slugger along with the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks. NL winners will be announced Nov. 6 at 3:00 p.m. PT; American League finalists will be announced Oct. 23 and AL winners on Nov. 7. The Dodgers had three Silver Slugger winners in 2024 and previously had two winners in 1981, 1988, 1993, 1995 and 2009.
