Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Bobby Miller sustained a head injury during the Cactus League opener and is currently under concussion protocol. Manager Dave Roberts described the incident as a scary moment but reported that Miller was able to walk off the field after the injury. Teammate Max Muncy indicated that Miller was responsive and even joked about his condition post-injury. This injury is a setback for Miller, who had been performing well in spring training with aspirations for a spot in the rotation alongside established starters.
Certainly it was a very scary moment. From what I've gathered he's gonna be under concussion protocol. I don't know what that means as far as going forward. Certainly it's somewhat of a setback. I don't know how long this protocol lasts.
Miller even made a joke when the trainer asked him if he knew where he was, according to Muncy.
I'm feeling better than I have in any other spring training. This, so far, has been my best spring and best offseason of any offseason I've had in pro ball so far.
Muncy said the right-hander appeared to be okay after being hit by a 105.5 mph line drive.
