"Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed reliever Brusdar Graterol confirmed that he will not be returning this season as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery. "I'd like to tell all my Dodgers fanbase that I would have liked to be in the postseason but my rehabilitation hasn't been easy, so I've already changed my mindset for 2026," Graterol wrote in a post translated to English. "Thanks to everyone for always being attentive, I love you Dodgers fans.""
"Graterol has had a trying last two years, dealing with numerous injuries that have allowed him to play in just 10 total games (regular season and postseason) since the start of the 2024 season. Graterol didn't pitch in 2024 until August after dealing with a shoulder injury, and returned for one game in which he suffered a hamstring strain that sidelined him for another month. He then made six appearances in September before dealing with shoulder inflammation that sidelined him until the World Series."
Brusdar Graterol will not return this season as he continues rehabilitation from offseason labrum surgery. He posted a message to Dodgers fans saying rehabilitation has been difficult and that he has shifted his focus to 2026. Graterol has played only 10 total games since the start of 2024 due to a string of injuries. He missed much of 2024 with a shoulder injury, suffered a hamstring strain after a late return, then battled shoulder inflammation before the World Series and underwent labrum surgery in the offseason. He attempted a comeback this year but could not complete rehab.
