Bat-maker says the torpedo is 'here to stay' - and expects half of MLB players to use them
Briefly

Torpedo bats, which have recently surged in popularity in Major League Baseball, might soon become common, as David Ainsworth, the co-founder of Marucci Sports, suggests that adoption will expand significantly. He estimates roughly 10-15% of players are currently using these bats, but anticipates over 50% will try them soon. The trend is not just confined to the majors, but also reaching youth baseball levels. As successful use continues, these bats could become a staple in the sport despite some criticisms they face.
I think you're going to see it across all 30 teams. Every bat company is making these torpedoes, so I think this is here to stay for a little bit.
This isn't one that's specific to the Yankees. I just think that it got magnified by the Yankees... players across the board using it.
If major leaguers continue to use the bats successfully - and the future generations of baseball catch on, too - these bats could become a staple of the game sooner than later.
And it's not just specific to the majors, as Ainsworth noted that Marucci is beginning to get orders from youth baseball players as well.
