Sunday Night Baseball will continue to be the only MLB game scheduled that night, like when ESPN had the television rights."

The Los Angeles Dodgers will open the 2026 season at Dodger Stadium on March 26 after two seasons that began with international series. The Opening Day game will be televised live on NBC and streamed on Peacock as part of NBCUniversal's new MLB rights package. The NBC deal returns Sunday Leadoff on Peacock, includes Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts, and carries all four Wild Card Series. NBC and Peacock will present the first hour of the MLB Draft, carry the Futures Game, and host a new event featuring former players and celebrities. NBC will also air select primetime matchups on Opening Day and Labor Day.
