Mexico City (CDMX) is a highly recommended destination for travelers seeking a vibrant long-weekend getaway. With quick flights from the East coast, visitors are greeted with a rich culinary landscape, art, shopping, and deep historical roots. The city's ambiance and romance are palpable, enhanced by scenic tree-lined streets and cultural experiences, such as street bachata dancing. For accommodations, the author suggests Casa Polanco, a boutique hotel offering a blend of modern amenities and historic charm, and The Ritz, which overlooks Chapultepec Park, showcasing the city's beauty.
One of my favorite properties in CDMX, Casa Polanco, is a hotel built from a restored mansion. Located just across from the park, it has a darling boutique feel.
CDMX, in my opinion, is still underhyped for a lot of U.S. travelers, especially those on the East coast. It's a relatively quick flight.
