The Los Angeles Rams made major investments in their cornerback position by trading for All-Pro Trent McDuffie and signing free agent Jaylen Watson. McDuffie signed a four-year, $124 million extension, becoming the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history, while Watson agreed to a three-year, $51 million deal. Both players were part of the same 2022 draft class with the Kansas City Chiefs and won back-to-back Super Bowls together. McDuffie actively recruited Watson to join him in Los Angeles before the signings were finalized.
