"If there was any sudden movement that set him back, just didn't think it would be worth it," McVay said, emphasizing the need for caution with Stafford's hamstring.
"Could he have practiced today? Probably so," McVay stated, highlighting Stafford's readiness but the team's focus on avoiding aggravation of his injury.
"The goal in mind is making sure that we get a good couple weeks of preparation for the Detroit game," McVay mentioned regarding Stafford's practice participation.
"It's our job to be able to protect him," McVay added, pointing out their responsibility to make proactive decisions about Stafford's training and health.
