Prep talk: Max Fried returns to Harvard-Westlake field to help Altadena Little Leaguers
Briefly

The Fried Foundation and other sponsors organized a community event at O'Malley Family Field to support 80 members of the Altadena Little League affected by the Eaton fire. With free food, drinks, eye testing services, and sports-related activities, the event aimed to provide comfort and connection for families who had suffered from loss. Local baseball stars, including Max Fried and Christian Yelich, contributed to the day by signing autographs and connecting with young players. This event highlighted the importance of community support in times of crisis as they prepare for the upcoming season.
We saw a need and decided to act," said Jonathan Fried, the father of New York Yankees pitcher Max Fried, a Harvard-Westlake graduate who was taking photos and signing autographs.
This is nothing to do with me. I'm just helping a community we all grew up in," said Max Fried, who played at Encino Little League.
Everybody was all in to play," said Chris Swan, referencing the opening day struggles of the league.
