Henry Aslikyan of Birmingham High School has made history by becoming the first athlete from the City Section to win two state wrestling championships. He achieved this feat in the 113-pound division during a competition in Bakersfield. Coach Jimmy Medeiros praised Aslikyan for wrestling strategically and entertainingly. Moving forward, Aslikyan, who is currently a junior, aims to compete at a higher weight class next season to qualify for the U20 championships, which require athletes to compete at a minimum weight of 125 pounds.
