Woman rescued after she is swept nine miles in San Jose Creek during SoCal storm

Firefighters located and rescued a woman who had been swept downstream in San Jose Creek after being first seen near Fullerton Road by the 60 Freeway at about 1:50 p.m. Crews arrived 17 minutes later and continued searching downstream using fire trucks and a helicopter. The woman was eventually rescued at Workman Mill Road and helped onto a stretcher before being transported to a hospital. The creek measured about two feet deep with water flowing approximately eight to ten miles per hour; her condition was not immediately clear.
