The Los Angeles County medical examiner identified a woman whose body was discovered inside a trash bin in Sunland as 32-year-old Heather Hass. A cause of death has not been disclosed.
Helicopter video from KTLA-TV at the time of the discovery showed police investigating near a closed black bin at a curb in the neighborhood.
William Elliot, a Sunland resident, mentioned that someone dumped the trash bin onto his property. He moved it to the street after realizing something was off.
