Firefighting efforts involve nearly 2,375 personnel and various resources, including engines, helicopters, and dozers. Containment efforts have resulted in 89% progress, while investigations regarding the fire's cause continue. As conditions remain critical, with ongoing hot spots and dry weather exacerbated by Santa Ana winds, the community is cautiously being repopulated, alongside strategic resource placement for safeguarding against potential flare-ups.
Firefighters continue to extinguish hot spots within the perimeter of the fire. The repopulation of residents is ongoing, with zones being released in phases to ensure safety of public and utility agencies.
