Up to 14,000 evacuated ahead of wildfire burning south of Reno

The Davis Fire, which ignited due to hot, windy weather, has devastated the region, leading to the evacuation of 12,000 to 14,000 residents from Washoe Valley.
Despite the rapidly spreading flames consuming over 4,700 acres and destroying 15 primary structures, some local businesses, like the Chocolate Nugget Candy Factory, were successfully defended by firefighters.
