UCLA will resume in-person classes Tuesday as weather conditions improve, with a red flag warning lifted and fire containment progressing, according to Chancellor Julio Frenk.
"While smoky conditions were briefly reported, air quality remained within safe levels, allowing the university to shift back to normal operations safely."
Chancellor Frenk emphasized the need for vigilance, stating, "Should conditions shift, we will revisit our plans—we are not letting our guard down."
