A shooting incident at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Inglewood, Southern California, left two female employees hospitalized, one critically. The shooting happened around 4 p.m. and was attributed to workplace violence, involving a former employee. A male suspect was taken into custody following the incident. The campus, which went on lockdown for an hour, is known for its safety focus. Chris Becker, the college president, expressed disbelief over the violence in their peaceful community. Spartan College has several campuses nationwide and is situated close to Los Angeles International Airport.
"It's a peaceful campus," Becker said. "It's a nice community of students and teachers and staff."
