Juan Manuel Arce Ortega from Los Cabos Civil Protection urged residents to avoid crossing rivers and low areas, stating, 'Our priority is to ensure the safety of all residents during the storm.'
Forecasters expect Tropical Storm Ileana to bring rainfall of 4 to 8 inches, with warnings focused on the coastal areas from Altata to Huatabampito.
Post-tropical cyclone Francine and Tropical Storm Gordon are also active, but Ileana remains the sole tropical storm affecting the Eastern Pacific basin.
