Combs’ lead attorneys argued that the government has engaged in a campaign to leak evidence damaging to his right to a fair trial, including a video of alleged assault.
In their court filing, Combs' lawyers stated, "The government engaged in a seven-month campaign of strategically leaking confidential grand jury material... to prejudice the public and potential jurors against Mr. Combs."
Attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos requested a hearing to investigate allegations of unlawful grand jury evidence leaks, reinforcing the integrity of the trial process.
The video, which became public in March, allegedly shows Combs physically assaulting Cassie, aligning with specific allegations of abuse presented in a lawsuit filed last year.
