"We found our missing person - and ran into Jay Leno along the way!" San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team said, highlighting the unexpected encounter during their search efforts.
"Unfortunately, they hadn't seen our missing hiker," the group said regarding their meeting with Leno, illustrating the challenges faced in locating the missing person.
After they hiked for nearly 12 hours without any sign of Yang, rescuers regrouped and utilized search dogs to assist in the search the following morning.
A hiker ultimately spotted Yang on the saddle between Waterman and Twin Peaks, leading authorities to successfully rescue him with air support.
