More rain, more car-damaging potholes. Here's how you can get repaid for damage

Driving over a pothole can damage a tire, wheel rim or axle; if the impact is severe enough, it can affect the vehicle's suspension, undercarriage, body or even its frame. According to a survey by the American Automobile Assn., potholes caused U.S. drivers to spend an estimated $26.5 billion in 2021, with an average of about $600 spent per driver.
