Man killed in collision with LAPD cruiser in Sun Valley

In a tragic traffic collision in Sun Valley, a 65-year-old man was killed while turning left onto Saticoy Street. The incident occurred when two LAPD officers, responding to a domestic violence call with sirens and lights activated, collided with his vehicle. Emergency crews pronounced the man dead after extricating him from the wreck. Fortunately, the officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital. Emergency personnel extricated the man from the vehicle, and he was pronounced dead. His name was not given.
The two officers were transported to a hospital for their injuries, which were not life-threatening, according to LAPD spokesperson Tony Im.
