A 40-year-old man in Los Angeles was charged with murder and misdemeanor child abuse after authorities said he killed his girlfriend and took their young daughter. Police conducted a welfare check at a home in West Adams and found the woman dead from violence, while the daughter was missing. An Amber Alert was issued for the child, Daleza, after the man was believed to have abducted her. Photos reportedly showed the man with the child in San Ysidro, and authorities reported the child’s age as 4 or 5. The vehicle was later found, but the child and man were still missing.
