Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass advised residents to stay inside due to poor air quality caused by smoke, urging them to limit exposure by keeping doors and windows closed.
Fire Chief Kristin Crowley noted the strain on emergency resources, declaring that the Palisades fire and the Hurst fire are 'stretching the capacity of emergency services to their maximum limits.'
