Twelve professional sports teams in Los Angeles are donating $8 million to support wildfire victims, while Fanatics distributes $3 million in merchandise to evacuees.
The wildfires have burned nearly 40,000 acres and caused more than 100,000 evacuations, prompting teams and organizations to mobilize extensive relief efforts.
Team coaches and players, such as Lakers coach JJ Redick, have also been personally impacted, highlighting the widespread devastation these fires have caused in the community.
Proceeds from the LA Strong merchandise collection created by Fanatics will support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the American Red Cross.
