L.A. County D.A. will not charge Marilyn Manson in rape, domestic violence cases
Briefly

Marilyn Manson, born Brian Warner, will not be criminally charged following investigations into allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence. Los Angeles County prosecutors indicated that the statute of limitations had expired on certain allegations and expressed concerns about the ability to prove the rape claims beyond a reasonable doubt. Despite this, they acknowledged the importance of the victims' testimony in raising awareness about domestic abuse and sexual assault. Warner faced numerous allegations, notably from actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esme Bianco, who previously sued him.
We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to make reports and share their experiences, and we thank them for their cooperation and patience with the investigation.
While we are unable to bring charges in this matter, we recognize that the strong advocacy of the women involved has helped bring greater awareness to the challenges faced by survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
