'Just too unstable': Electricity to be cut to 140 homes facing Rancho Palos Verdes landslide
Briefly

"The ground is just too unstable. It's become too dangerous for us to continue to provide power," said David Eisenhauer, a SoCal Edison spokesperson.
"Don't abandon us. Where's the humanity in this?" said resident Mike Hong who expressed frustration over the short notice of the power shut-off.
Evacuation warnings were issued for residents to avoid using plumbing after power is cut, to prevent potential sewer spills.
Eisenhauer stated, "there wasn't one issue that led to this decision, but it was made to 'keep the community safe.'"
